Need musicians for new band (LA)

compensation: no pay
Hi. I am a singer/songwriter/pianist looking to form a band to play my original songs.

Let me tell you a little bit about the sound I want to produce:
- acoustic, acoustic, acoustic (NO rock AT ALL)
- acoustic guitar
- drums (again, NO hard rock)
- bass guitar
- background vocals
- background synth pad (keys)

The following would be nice:
- oboe
- flute
- fiddle

My songs are classic-sounding with MELODY. They don't sound like the current stuff. I've been told they are really good/great (hard to brag on myself, but just want to let you know the level of musicianship here).

My music is mostly:
- songs that are blatantly about the Lord
- songs that are "love songs" that I wrote for the Lord but could be taken as "just" love songs to anyone
- country

98% of my songs are slow to mid-tempo. I don't care if you are a Christian or not.

If this sounds like it's what you like to hear/play and be a part of, email me!lizchris610@earthlink.net. Thanks!

There's no pay for now - we would simply get together and play - read through my songs and then perfect them FOR THE JOY OF IT! I think you will be happy you decided to join. :)

Eventually, would like to get into the studio and record my songs with my new band. That's when the money happens. :)

Can send you links to my music.

New City Members Looking For a Female Roommate in West LA Apartment

Hi! One of our roommates is moving out of the area at the end of our current lease so we are looking for a Christian gal to join us.  We're clean, considerate, friendly, and responsible and are looking for someone similar.

What? A private bedroom + shared bathroom in a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment, washer/dryer in the unit, dishwasher, central heat/AC that we rarely need. High ceilings and lots of sunshine. Tandem gated parking spot. Easy street parking. No pets.

Cost? Sign annual lease for July 1, 2014 to June 30, 2015. $850/month + utilities ($50-80/month the past year) + deposit ($833.33).  Great deal for the area.

Where? Walking distance to Sawtelle restaurants (near Olympic and Sawtelle). Great quiet neighborhood with a police station, library, post office, farmer's market down the street. Very close to Ralph's and Trader Joe's.

Please email san_three@hotmail.com if interested.

Young Woman Seeking Female Roommate in Central LA

My name is Leigh, and I'm looking to move into central LA. I've worked at a non-profit in the area for eight months now, and it's a place I'd like to stay long term. My reasons for moving are to 1) have a shorter commute, 2) be intentional about living in the community of folks I work with, and 3) be closer to New City!

I'd love to live as close to my work as possible, which is by the intersection of Vermont and 3rd Streets, at the top of Pico-Union near Koreatown (the Rampart neighborhood). I am, however, quite flexible about looking elsewhere in central LA if it works for a roommate.

Rent in the area I'm looking at is usually about 1300 for a 1 bedroom, so I'm looking or an actual roommate roommate! I'm financially stable, but not in a place to start doing 1300/month just me, so I'd like to find a roommate before committing to a place.

I'd love to live with someone who enjoys hosting others and getting to know neighbors, but isn't into large amounts of alcohol or other substances. Beyond that, not picky.

If you're interested, or know someone who might be, give me a call at 425 802 2063 or email atleighanngreenfield@gmail.com
