Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
• Responsible for providing business counseling and conduct necessary research for aspiring entrepreneurs, micro-enterprises, and established business owners in areas of business planning, marketing analysis, and financial management
• Provides information on governmental, private and alternate sources of financing, permitting, licensing and other relevant governmental/municipal requirements to clients.
• Maintains records on individual clients with detailed service logs, including follow-up/tracking activities.
• Conducts outreach activities to future entrepreneurs, new businesses, trade associations, public and private agencies, and community based organizations to promote LABSC services.
• Must be familiar with various economic development programs and tax incentives available for small businesses.
• Must work well in a team environment and willing to collaborate with partner organizations.
Qualifications and Experience:
Candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree and at least five (5) years of professional experience as a business analyst, marketing specialist, or in other business related fields working with well established and growing businesses. Prior work experience with entrepreneurs and small business owners will be a plus. Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/Chinese) preferred.

Technological knowledge, skills and abilities required (if any):
Must be computer literate, internet research skills a must, skillful in professional oral and written communication, and bilingual (English/Spanish or Chinese)
Special Requirements:
Possession of a valid California Class C Drivers License.
