FT Marketing/Community Outreach Specialist- $2240-3200/mo DOE
Barrio Planners, Inc. is seeking a FT Marketing/Community Outreach Specialist!
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
• Under the direction of the East Los Angeles Business Source Center (LABSC) Program Manager, the Marketing/Community Outreach Specialist is responsible for the branding, marketing, and community outreach efforts of the center.
• Assists in the center’s promotion of all its program services, training seminars, identifying potential client leads, and overall communication of the center’s economic/community development mission.
• Conducts outreach activities to future entrepreneurs, new businesses, established businesses, trade associations, public and private agencies, and community based organizations to promote LABSC services.
• Responsible for conducting necessary market research to identify small business service needs in the area of responsibility.
• Incorporate market research data and formulate strategic marketing planning objectives under the direction of the Program Manager.
• Coordinate and design marketing collateral materials to fulfill marketing objectives.
• Collateral marketing materials design and coordination responsibilities include: Flyers, Brochures, Online marketing, e-mail (newsletter) marketing, direct-mail marketing.
• Community outreach efforts include: Identify community and business groups to establish needed partnerships to further promote the center’s marketing, community outreach objectives, and overall mission.
Qualifications and Experience:
Three (3) years minimum prior professional work experience providing marketing, promotional and/or community outreach services. Familiar with general business marketing activities such as: online/web, email, print advertising. Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/Chinese) preferred. Bachelor’s degree in marketing or communications is a plus.
Foreign language (s) spoken and/or written:
Spanish or Chinese
Technological knowledge, skills and abilities required (if any):
Must be highly computer literate, skillful in oral and written communication, and bilingual (English/Spanish or Chinese).
Special Requirements:
Possession of a valid California Class C Drivers License
