Foster Care Social Worker – Guardians of Love Foster Family Agency (GOLFFA)

Mission:
Guardians of Love Foster Family Agency (GOLFFA) maintains a vision like that of the state, county and community by protecting the welfare of each child in preparing youth to become responsible and contributing members of the community. GOLFFA Foster Care Social Workers (FCSW) shall be employed to provide the social services of the Agency.

Ratio:
Guardians of Love Foster Family Agency shall employ, for treatment agencies, one full-time FCSW for every 15 children or fraction thereof in placement.

Qualifications:
GOLFFA FCSW must possess a Masters' Degree from an accredited or state approved graduate school, as defined in Section 94310 of the Education Code, in social work or social welfare, marriage and family therapy, child psychology, child development, or counseling psychology. BILINGUAL CANDIDATES (ENGLISH/SPANISH) ARE ENCOURAGED TO APPLY. Prior experience with DCFS or a foster/adopt agency is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities:
General responsibilities of a GOLFFA FCSW is to oversee and provide case management to Certified Foster Parents and children in placement.

Duties include:
· Maintain weekly visits to each assigned minor placement at school, home, etc.
· Fulfill “Duty Day” officer responsibilities as assigned or as needed
· Submit required documentation on a weekly, monthly and/or quarterly basis, including Case Activity Visit Logs, CFP Monthly Report, intake paperwork, etc.
· Maintain assigned files in compliance with Agency policies and procedures and in accordance with Community Care Licensing (CCL) and the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS)
· Ensure that the rights of the foster children are maintained, including providing resources for emancipation, school/career, vocational, etc.
· Report verbally and/or in writing on the quality of care provided by Certified Foster Parents and their homes ensuring that homes are in compliance. Create, collect and/or submit required documentation from Certified Foster Parents
· Respond to emergencies with minors in placement, DCFS, or Certified Parents
· Participate in regularly scheduled staff and certified parent in-service trainings and events, etc.
· Communicate and respond to requests made by the Supervising Foster Care Social Worker, Administrator and CEO/Board of Directors
· Communicate and respond to the State of California Community Care Licensing & County of Los Angles DCFS representative as needed
· Represent the agency in the community at large=
· Other duties as assigned

We are currently looking for Full-time Foster Care Social Workers for both office locations, San Bernardino and Los Angeles. Salary based on experience.
