ADULT PROGRAMS
Case Manager:
This full-time position is available in Los Angeles. Provide case management services which include record keeping, advocacy, and service coordination. Requirements: High School diploma and one year experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, special needs, learning, or psychiatric/emotional disabilities in a direct client service position. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Familiarity with Regional Center system, DDS, CARF, and licensing requirements helpful. Valid California driver’s license and insurable driving record. Must obtain certification in CPR, First Aid, and NCI training within 60 days of employment.
Salary: $10.00 - $13.50 per hour
DIAGNOSTIC AND THERAPUTIC SERVICES (DATS)
Behavior Intervention Specialist:
This part-time position is available in Woodland Hills. Work with the client, a non-verbal adolescent girl, on a 1:1 basis during the school day, assisting with daily behavior, social-emotional needs and interactions, as well as providing updated behavior reports. Use computer applications to help client communicate. Requirements: Bachelor's degree and 6 months experience working with special needs children and knowledge of the autistic spectrum . Must be trained in Discreet Trial Training.

Behavior Intervention Specialist:
This is a substitute position. Duties will be performed at various schools in Los Angeles County. Work with the student on a 1:1 basis during the school day, assisting with daily behavior, social-emotional needs, and interactions as well as providing updated behavior reports. Students to be served may include those on the Pervasive Developmental Spectrum, Autistic Disorder, sensory integration dysfunction, expressive/receptive speech disorders, social integration dysfunction, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, non-specific learning disorders and behavior problems. Requirements: Bachelor's degree and 6 months experience working with special needs children and knowledge of the autistic spectrum.

DEVELOPMENT AND EXTERNAL RELATIONS
Director of Foundation and Corporate Giving:
This full-time position is available in Culver City. Will conduct grant development, including researching, identifying, writing and submitting grant proposals; writing project-specific, general operating and capital requests; maintaining existing relationships with foundation/corporate representatives; cultivating relationships with new funders; and representing ECF at community meetings pertaining to funding issues. Provide administrative oversight of grant activities, including managing a high volume grant docket and comprehensive systems for tracking and documentation; preparing monthly activity reports; and supervising a grant writer. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree and five years experience with primary responsibilities for private foundation and corporation grant writing at a nonprofit organization, and three years experience with administrative oversight and supervisorial responsibilities. Ideal candidate will also demonstrate success in: writing proposals resulting in awards of $100,000 and above and managing a diverse grants portfolio; working with major foundations/corporations in Southern California and having positive existing relationships with same,; meeting annual fundraising goals; and working in a collaborative manner as well as independently. Detail oriented, excellent computer skills, including Word, Excel, Microsoft Office, and c) experience using Raiser’s Edge and online grants database systems. EARLY START
Occupational Therapist (OT) or Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA):
This full-time position serves the Arleta and Los Angeles sites. Provide occupational therapy case management for OT clients. Document client treatment and participate in patient conferences. Requirements: Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy and one year, full-time experience with six months at pediatric level or Associate degree in Occupational Therapy and one year, full-time experience. Graduate of an occupational therapy curriculum accredited jointly by the American Occupational Therapy Association and the American Medical Association, current license from California Board of Occupational Therapy, and registration with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT). Active member of the American Occupational Therapy Association and bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Ability to maintain confidences and confidentiality and work well as part of a team. Ability to communicate, orally and in writing, in an effective and diplomatic manner with a wide range of clientele, service providers, families and other agencies. High level of initiative and tactfulness are essential. Good organizational skills. Computer skills required for report writing. Must have own transportation.

Speech and Language Pathologist:
This full-time position serves the Arleta and Los Angeles sites. Provide comprehensive speech and language therapy, case management (including assessments and goals), and feeding for SLP clients. Document client treatment, participate in client conferences, and provide staff training. Requirements: Master of Arts/Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or related field, and graduation from a speech language pathology curriculum accredited jointly by the American Speech, Language, and Hearing Association (ASHA). One year, full-time SLP experience with at least six months pediatric experience. Supervisory experience a plus.

RESIDENTIAL PROGRAM
Residential Assistant:
Part-time position available in Reseda. Under supervision, assist with ensuring the 24-hour residential home is physically maintained and the day to day needs of residents are met. Assist the residents with personal hygiene (toileting, bathing, dressing, diaper changing, etc.), administer medications, transport residents, and write progress reports. Requirements: AA degree or high school diploma and one year directly related experience. Good verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to transfer an adult to and from a wheelchair. Available Shift: Monday - Friday 6:00 am to 10:30 am.
Salary: $9.00 - $12.15 per hour
Residential Assistant:
Two full-time positions available in Reseda. Under supervision, assist with ensuring the 24-hour residential home is physically maintained and the day to day needs of residents are met. Assist the residents with personal hygiene (toileting, bathing, dressing, diaper changing, etc.), administer medications, transport residents, and write progress reports. Requirements: AA degree or high school diploma and one year directly related experience. Good verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to transfer an adult to and from a wheelchair. Work Schedule: Monday – Thursday (split shift) 6:00 am to 8:00 am and 2:00 pm to 8:00 p.m., Friday 6:00 am to 9:00 a.m.
Salary: $9.00 - $12.15 per hour
SUBSTITUTE/TEMPORARY/ON-CALL
Residential Assistant:
This substitute position will be available at various sites on an “as needed” basis. Under supervision, assist with ensuring the 24-hour residential home is physically maintained and the day to day needs of residents are met. Assist the residents with personal hygiene (toileting, bathing, dressing, diaper changing, etc.), administer medications, transport residents, and write progress reports. Requirements: AA degree or high school diploma and one year directly related experience. Good verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to transfer an adult to and from a wheelchair.
Salary: $9.00 - $12.15 per hour
Teacher:
This substitute position is available in Culver City. Provide an educational program for enrolled students in the elementary, middle and high school. Assess student needs and deliver lessons based on student needs and state standards. Maintain records; communicate with parents and management including assistant principals, principal and counselors. Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree and one of the following: Valid California 30-Day Substitute Teaching Permit; or California specialized teaching credential; or Special Education Internship; or Preliminary Level 1, Clear; or Equivalent California State Special Education Credential. Two years teaching/classroom management experience. Ability to work on an on-call basis to fill in for regular staff teachers when they are absent.
